ColPro Utilis can provide tailored product support and after sales services as integrated contract packages delivered from our in-house support team. This ensures that irrespective of the nature of support required, it is carried out by personnel with full comprehension and familiarity with the relevant equipment. Our close market contact and support activities to our clientbase provide us with a valuable understanding of field operations protocol and user processes which are re-injected back into our product development. For traditional procurements, ColPro Utilis offer camp delivery and setup as well as ongoing maintenance support and facility management via a mature network of UK partners. However, to allow improved support to urgent operational requirements, ColPro Utilis are also developing contracting for availability and leasing capabilities.

IN SERVICE & DEPLOYMENT SUPPORT

ColPro Utilis can provide tailored support to operations to alleviate the pressure or burden during urgent, time-critical deployments. Such support can take the form of system setup and teardown assistance (either direct on site or remote), facility management activities, on-site management and maintenance capability and spares provision. In addition we can provide a full array of post-exercise services such as inventory and repackaging assistance, textile cleaning and system reconstitution.

The benefits of expert assistance are the in-depth knowledge that this brings, resulting in reduced deployment times, assured build conformity, optimised operational efficiency, reduced equipment losses/ damages and a consequential improved system recovery efficiency. The use of best practice methodology to care for systems throughout deployed operations is the key to assuring the life of the system is maximised, and to reduce periods of operational non-availability to the absolute bare minimum.

MAINTENANCE & REPAIR

Deployed operations in austere and challenging environments do result in wear and tear on equipment, so naturally there are times when equipment benefits from specialist care to keep it in full operational order. ColPro Utilis are always on-hand to provide a comprehensive maintenance and repair service via our broad network of trained staff and partner organisations. Maintenance/ repair locations will depend upon the nature of the work to be carried out, however on-site or depot maintenance activity will be carried out where feasible to assure operational continuity. All repairs use guaranteed original parts, and are carried out in full accordance with manufacturer guidelines when equipment is not of ColPro Utilis manufacture. In addition to ad-hoc maintenance activity, ColPro Utilis can be engaged for broader, fleet level maintenance coverage to assure maximum fleet operational availability and readiness, along with all associated task reporting.

SPARES SUPPORT

In order to provide efficient real-time support to deployed operations, an efficient and timely spares support service is critical. ColPro Utilis operate a mature and effective spares support service conforming to preferred UK MoD supply methodology. This system includes the management of all associated drawings, codifications and parts registers. Using a range of proven partners, ColPro Utilis can provide this spare parts service globally for all of our delivered systems, and have the capacity to hold strategic stocks for capability-critical or long lead items. All spares shall be dispatched in a protectively packaged form with appropriate labelling to assure ease of identification and traceability. In addition, ColPro Utilis have extensive experience in the use of various client inventory systems to log component source data, and to manage component status and quantities held/ required.

CLEANING SERVICES

Despite deliberate material selection to maximise resistivity, the gradual of shelter cleanliness during operational service is an unfortunate inevitability, necessitating periodic cleaning when dirt and soiling is evident to avoid limiting shelter longevity. ColPro Utilis have the capacity to effect all forms of shelter cleaning, irrespective of whether systems are originally supplied by us or others. The optimum cleaning methodology will depend on the shelter type(s) and the type of soiling, as well as the degree to which the shelter cleanliness has been compromised. When performed at fleet level, this cleaning activity can be effected in bulk for logistical simplicity or on a rotational basis in order to maximise the operational availability of systems. Once cleaned, it is typical that ColPro Utilis protectively package the shelter for onward storage and use, following the process described below. This allows for prolonged storage and multi modal transport through and within most climatic environments without any consequential impairment to the shelter systems.

SHELTER RECONSTITUTION

Experience shows that continual cycling of the equipment setup/ operation/ teardown/ storage regime can be tough on equipment, especially when subject to the additional pressure of operational deadlines. In a perfect world, deployed camps would always be taken down in ideal, dry conditions and all components meticulously packed according to the system deployment and recovery manual, but we understand that reality doesn’t always follow theory. ColPro Utilis therefore offer a shelter reconstitution package to inspect, repair, clean, dry, protectively wrap and re-package shelters so they are storage-prepared in a state of guaranteed operational readiness. Using comprehensive checking criterion, the inventory and state of all system components are verified and documented and subject to careful cleaning. All humidity-sensitive elements are subjected to a strict packaging protocol within a tightly controlled dry environment to avoid entry of humid air within the packaging envelope - which could ultimately compromise shelter packaging integrity. These are then vacuum packaged with tell-tale indicators permitting simple visual checking throughout their storage duration to verify that all seals remain intact. This system provides a guaranteed level of protection and system preservation until the seal is broken when the system is deployed to maximise system longevity and minimise system whole life costs.

LEASING

In addition to sale of new equipment, ColPro Utilis has a developing lease section to allow our clients greater flexibility, for when requirements may arrive too quickly to effect a traditional procurement or if onward use after the initial requirement is not foreseen. Leasing packages can be twinned with other available services to effect full turnkey solutions, enabling systems to be supplied and deployed, so users can simply arrive and begin use of the facilities and upon completion ColPro Utilis take care of all dismantling, packaging and logistics. As there is increasing evidence of uptake of this contracting approach amongst civil, military and humanitarian bodies alike – this is envisaged as a key area of development for ColPro Utilis.

Training

In order to derive the maximum benefit from each system and to foster optimum operational habits, ColPro Utilis provide a wide variety of training packages covering deployment, operation and maintenance aspects to ensure that maximum equipment service life is achieved. Our comprehensive packages emphasise care of materials, safe working practices and correct protocols for unpacking, deploying and re-packing to maximise system operating life and prevent component damage or losses. ColPro Utilis can provide tailored product support and after sales services as integrated contract packages delivered from our in-house support team. This ensures that irrespective of the nature of the support activity, it is carried out by personnel with full comprehension and familiarity with the relevant equipment. In addition, ColPro Utilis tactical shelter systems are inherently simple and intuitive to use, being the culmination of over 20 years of development and product refinement within the parent organisations.
